The much anticipated Amrezy x Anastasia Beverly Hills eyeshadow palette is finally here but is it actually worth your money? Continue reading to find out all you need to know about it!
The collaborative palette Amrezy palette comes in Anastasia Beverly Hills' standard 16 pan eyeshadow palette. I was very surprised when the promo shots started circulation around social media because I was not expecting such a feminine color scheme from Amra, however, I found it to be very visually pleasing and I had to get my hands on it.
The palette comes in a textured pink glitter design all over it with the branding engraved in dark gold which will certainly stand out on your vanity. Also, in true ABH fashion, it comes with a mirror and a dual-ended brush. A lot of people don't like the generic brushes that some brands include with palettes but I personally love the ones from Anastasia Beverly Hills.

Amrezy x Anastasia Beverly Hills Swatch on Dark Skin |
As previously stated, you get 16 eyeshadows composed of mattes, metallics and pressed glitters. The palette is very versatile as it can easily take you from day to night and you can also achieve different types of looks (smokey, flirty and, neutral). Here is a breakdown of the shadows according to the ABH website:
- Waisted (Satin ballet pink)
- Barb (Metallic lilac with a golden lime shift)
- Dragon (Metallic golden copper)
- Leo (Metallic turquoise blue)
- Gorgina (Metallic taupe bronze)
- Anastasia (Metallic peachy pink with a gold shift)
- New Yawker (Matte rich caramel)
- OG (Matte neutral chocolate brown)
- 1988 (Matte chestnut brown)
- BK (Matte black)
- Litty (Gilded copper with lavender sparkles pressed glitter)
- Cupcake (Metallic lavender pressed pigment)
- Gemini (Antique gold with silver sparkles pressed glitter)
- Rezy (Metallic candy pink pressed pigment)
- Ĺ emsa (Matte red plum pressed pigment)
- Yugo (Matte rich plum brown pressed pigment)
Is the Amrezy x Anastasia Beverly Hills Worth It?
This palette is very pretty and unlike all of the 16-pan eyeshadow palettes, it will set you back $49 instead of $45. Is it worth it? In my opinion, no and here's why. The quality is just not up to par to be at that price point. My biggest issue with the shadows is how dry all of them feel. I own 2 other ABH palettes so I know this is unusual for the brand. I was quite surprised to see that a light touch would generate kickback with the matte shadows. Also, no matter how you apply the metallic or pressed glitter (brush or finger) expect to see half of it on your cheeks because that's how much fallout there is. I was not surprised that this was the case for the pressed glitter -it's glitter- but I did not expect the metallic shadows to fallout. The pressed glitters are chunky, you can actually feel the glitter when you apply it. Also, in order to get the best color payoff from the metallics and pressed glitter, you will have to use your fingers. This is not a big issue if you want to apply them to your lids but it becomes trickier when you want to create more intricate eye looks.
Moreover, based on the promo shots, I expected OG and New Yawker to be very distinct but in actuality, they look very similar. They both have different undertones as one pulls brown and the other orange but the difference is not large enough to have them both in one palette, in my opinion. Furthermore, if you are dark-skinned, you will have to use a lighter base/primer for these two transition shades to show up. Other than that, the shadows are pigmented and blend well.
The eyeshadows may have its issues but, as a whole, the palette isn't bad a bad product and its aesthetic is very pleasing to the eyes. On the other hand, if an eyeshadow palette is going to retail for near $50, I expect the quality to follow suit and unfortunately this palette came short. Luckily, they had a promotion going on at the time that allowed me to get it for $36. I would advise that you get this product when it is on sale or else you might be left disappointed.
